What can i say good weekend or bad weekend? Friday was ace, dispite leaving early from the Golden Lion from "The night before" which was ace, i loved hearing Take Me To The City and Ricky and The Pigeons, Mendez as good too, but i was gutted not to hear Karys play =( Hopefully she'll do another set soon =) Another bad point was not going to The Room Upstairs 2 because i was at Nottingham for a lifesaving competition. Was it worth it?
Nottingham Lifesaving competition, we left Plymouth uni at 12:00 am (midnight) for our supposed 8 hour journey in a minibus, which ended up being 5 1/2 hours, with only a hour sleep, everyone is kranky, but we see through it =) So we get breakfast from asda at 5:30am and as the cafe was closed, we got bread, hot cross buns and cheese =P And ate it in the store in our sleeping bags like true tramps =) We got to the competition and conviced the guards to let us into the sports hall and sleep upstairs in the sleeping area, we didn't realise that there where cctv cameras, but we didn't do anything bad, it was just that they (the guards) could have done anything in their little booth whilst watching us... ewww
We managed to get 3 hours sleep in the hall seats, which isn't good for a sports competition, so our incidents sucked pinehouse, we got a 2 person penalty for our rope throw relay, but we came 7th out of 28th in our swim and tow and resuce medley. We came 21st out of 28 teams, shite to say the least, at London uni compeition we came 5th out of 29 teams so there is a little comparison for you. I blame the lack of sleep making everyone angry.
Social =) We went from characters from Toy Story, so of course i went as Woody, our 6th form leavers fancy dress came in handy again, i couldn't find a yellow checkered shirt like Woody's so i comprimised with a yellow shirt saying "I Want Hair Like The Hoff" and with it being a lifesaving social it went down like a treat. I also managed to find out that my love life might be getting better, so i'll see what happens and keep you posted =) The social was standard, getting really drunk and dancing =P And i felt fine the day after, no hangover, win =) especially as Jagerbombs where £1.50 =)
The journey back was horrid! Kranky, depressed from doing badly, people acting like twats, so i just kept my head low, took the abuse and just saw through the shit to see the sugar and why they where acting like dicks. Plus i found out that it snowed back home in Paignton too!!! And that's all i got to say about that.
So really i should have stayed home, but i needed to know if my feelings where right about a certain someone at a different uni who we compete against. They where right and it just keeps getting better =) I can't wait for valentines day for once!!!!!
A Happy Woodshack =)
